Kate Anton

Kate Anton is the apiary and laboratory manager for the Grozinger Laboratory at Penn State University. She specializes in honey bee queen rearing and breeding and supports research focused on genomics, behavior, nutrition, landscape ecology, and pollinator health. In addition to her research role, Kate collaborates with Dr. Robyn Underwood and Penn State Extension to develop and deliver educational programming for beekeepers. She was an instructor in the EPIQ program (Education about the Production and Insemination of Queens) and is currently implementing the DUDE program (Deep Understanding of Drone Education), which provide long-term, in-depth training opportunities for beekeepers.
