Welcome to SABA!

 

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the knowledge and improving the success of our beekeepers, as well as educating the broader public about the importance of bees in our shared environment. We aim to provide a forum for cooperation among beekeepers and all those working to improve the welfare of bees and other pollinators.

Beginner Beekeeping Class

All Classes will be held in person at Milton Community Center, Ballston Spa, NY
The course is held 3 consecutive Wednesdays: February 8, February 25 and March 3 from 6:00 - 8:00.

Open to all active members. Fee for class $25.00 plus cost of the book.

There will be a live hands on experience in the Spring of 2026

Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Class

Is this class right for me?  Recommended for beekeepers with at least 3 years experience.

Goal: Provide information, tools, and resources to beekeepers to advance their skills in apiculture through lecture, hands-on activities, interactive events, and peer development. Additional details available on the registration.  

 
Dates: February 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26 

Cost: $30.00 plus the price of the book
 
Instructor: Erica Svatek with assistance from Cindy Elsenbeck, both near the completion of their Master Beekeeper Certification journey.
